Carat
The carat is the unit of material used for abrasive. One carat is 0.2 grams.

Concentration determine the quantity of abrasive in the wheel (weight of abrasive nude, without metallization)

LIANT
Their function is to hold the abrasive grain, during work, and to let it go when it is over. The ideal binder is a mix with good cutting power, a good surface quality, and worn state of wheel.

b.  resin binder
            Very good cutting power
            Small heating
            Work with or without watering
c. Electrolytic binder
            Excellent cutting power

Dressing
The wheel dressing allows to have the original angles on the wheel in order to be able to sharpen the drills correctly. Pay attention, the wheel dressing doesn't allow to have better cutting conditions. You have to finish dressing with a special stick (paragraph 2).
1. Dressing CBN and diamond wheel on the machine (recommended) :
Can be done on every machine of AVYAC. You just have to change the tool by a diamond.
Attention : Brightening up is indispensable.
2. Dressing CBN and carbide wheel outside the machine :

The dressing is done with a special dressing material with brake, installed on an universal grinding machine. The wheel to be dressed is set on the spindle of the machine and the special dressing material is set on the crossed tables. The dressing tool is equipped with a vitrified wheel and a system to throw the wheel by hand before it comes in contact with the wheel to be dressed.

The special dressing material is generally sold by the wheels manufacturers, who tell you which wheel you have to use for dressing.


.ATTENTION:
After all dressing operation, you have to brighten the wheel with a special stick.
